SoHo Playhouse in New York City is proud to officially participate in the 2017 Fringe International Encore Series. This year marks the 12th annual Fringe Encore Series. This will be the first year the series expands to include shows from Adelaide, Brighton, Edinburgh, Hollywood and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals. Blamed: An Established Fiction was selected from the Hollywood Fringe Festival and will be playing in September.

A cyclone of camp with a true gift for one-liners and an even stronger voice, Courtney Act followed the yellow brick road past the crowd to hit the stage in THE GIRL FROM OZ. Despite several homages to THE WIZARD OF OZ, the May 4 show at the Laurie Beechman Theatre was centered on that other, no less magical Oz: Australia. In fact, the RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE alum's entire set list was comprised of songs famously written or sung by Aussies.

The Hollywood Fringe Festival has announced Blamed: An Established Fiction as one of the winners of the 2017 Fringe Scholarships.

Disney has today unveiled a May 24, 2019 release date for the highly anticipated STAR WARS: Episode IX (in 3D). Not much has been revealed about Episode IX, other than that the script will be penned by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.

STAR WARS EPISODE VIII director Rian Johnson turned to Facebook to announce that production has officially wrapped on the highly-anticipated film. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.

At this weekend's Star Wars Celebration Europe, Alden Ehrenreich was introduced to fans for the first time as Han Solo, the new star of the untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story at the Future Filmmaker Panel.

Netflix has acquired global rights to Charlie McDowell's THE DISCOVERY, starring Rooney Mara (Carol), Robert Redford (Truth) and Jason Segel (The End of the Tour). The film will premiere on Netflix and in select theaters in the US in 2017.
