Franklin Performing Arts Company Announces HUMBUG! Casting; Opens 12/19

The Franklin Performing Arts Company is pleased to announce the cast for its original Holiday Musical, Humbug! More than 200 professional and local amateur singers and dancers will participate in FPAC's new adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol which runs for 3 performances December 19 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 and December 20th at 2 pm at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street in Franklin.
Box Office Opens for Franklin Performing Arts Center Holiday Shows

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) box office is now open for The Nutcracker and Humbug! offering two great opportunities to get into the holiday spirit this season. The Nutcracker will be presented for two shows only on Saturday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. Humbug! will be staged the following weekend for three shows on Saturday, December 19 at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. Both productions will be presented at Franklin's Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium.

FSPA Announces Additions To Faculty In The Music And Dance Departments

The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) has announced additions to the faculty in the school's Music and Dance departments. Classes are now underway in FSPA's 25th anniversary season under the direction of founder Raye Lynn Mercer. Since 1985 the school has offered programs for serious study in the arts as well as classes for recreation at 38 Main Street in downtown Franklin.

Many graduates of the Franklin School for the Performing Arts are currently appearing with notable summer stock companies. Nadine Malouf of North Grafton (FSPA '05) is appearing in Rent at the Weston Playhouse in Vermont; Chris LeBeau of Holliston (FSPA '04) is currently featured in Crazy For You at The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport, Meghan Trahan of Franklin (FSPA '04) is performing in Side Show with the Elden Street Players in Herndon, VA, Matt Rickard of Franklin (FSPA '04) is working with the Reagle Players in Waltham, Ma.
