Graduates of the Franklin School for the Performing Arts Appear In Various Summer Stock Shows

Many graduates of the Franklin School for the Performing Arts are currently appearing with notable summer stock companies. Nadine Malouf of North Grafton (FSPA '05) is appearing in Rent at the Weston Playhouse in Vermont; Chris LeBeau of Holliston (FSPA '04) is currently featured in Crazy For You at The John W. Engeman Theater at Northport, Meghan Trahan of Franklin (FSPA '04) is performing in Side Show with the Elden Street Players in Herndon, VA, Matt Rickard of Franklin (FSPA '04) is working with the Reagle Players in Waltham, Ma. He was cast in "Hello, Dolly!" which ran through the end of June, followed by "Mame" which ran through the 25th. His next stop is the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn, NY to play Paul in A Chorus Line. Zoe Kassay of Franklin is performing eight shows at the Forestburgh Playhouse, a resident acting company in Forestburgh NY. Sabrina Cohen of Foxboro (FSPA '03) is cast in the Off-Broadway show, The Boychick Affair, Amy Lord's new show playing at the Times Square Arts Center. Colin Bryson of Medway (FSPA '05) of can be seen in a lead role in Disney's High School Musical 3 at Disney's Hollywood Studios through the end of December.

FSPA graduates are currently pursuing the performing arts at colleges and universities including Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory, Connecticut College, Hartt School of Music, Georgetown University, Harvard University, Penn State University, Syracuse University and the University of Miami in Florida.

"We are pleased to follow the successes of our graduates as they move through outstanding college programs and into careers in the arts," notes FSPA Director Raye Lynn Mercer. Equally notable are the many students who take their training and experiences from FSPA and effectively apply them to many different college majors and career paths."
From the Class of 2009 Meghan Charbonnier of Franklin will pursue musical theater at Wagner College, Rebecca Knowles of Medfield will study acting at Point Park University, Seana Peterson of Foxboro will pursue jazz studies at Northwestern University, Garrett Gleason of Franklin will double major in music and math at Maryland University, Katie Tella of Medfield will study dance at the University of the Arts in Pennsylvania, John Matson of Medfield will study music and business administration at Rutgers University and Katie Wilson of Franklin will study Dance at Skidmore College. FSPA'S Class of 2009 also included Will Anderson of Franklin (Bridgewater State College), Alina Ostrow of Franklin (American University), Samantha Rosenberg of Franklin (University of Arizona), Samantha Weiss of Franklin (Colgate University), Alison Whitney of Franklin(Bryn Mawr College), Marisa Michelson of Medfield will study Music Theatre at Dean College, Daisy Alioto of Wrentham (Bowdoin College), Leah Marquardt of Franklin (Emerson College), Aubrey Trudeau of Wrentham (University of Massachusetts) Christina Consigli of Milford (University of St. Andrew in Scotland), Caroline Duchin of Sharon (Hamilton College), Nicole Hofer of Medway (Hamilton College) and Abigail Sprague of North Attleboro (Roger Williams University).
