Today, Elaine Paige and Alexandra Burke announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2018 with Mastercard, UK's most prestigious stage honours. The 2018 awards are set to be an exciting occasion with original new work dominating the categories and a significant number of artists receiving their first ever Olivier nominations. Catherine Tate will host the Awards at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 8 April and they will be broadcast to the UK and worldwide.
WORKING to Release Original London Cast Recording With New Music By Lin-Manuel Miranda

Ghostlight Records has announced the release of the Original London Cast Recording of Stephen Schwartz's WORKING on Friday, March 2. The album is being released following a hugely successful run at Southwark Playhouse, directed by Luke Sheppard in Summer 2017. This will be the first recording of WORKING since the Original Broadway Cast Recording in 1978 and will feature never before released tracks by Lin-Manuel Miranda. At a ceremony held today at London's Caf de Paris, Aladdin's Trevor Dion Nicholas announced the nominees for the 18th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards. The announcement of the nominations marks the opening of the final voting stage which closes 31 January, with the winners announced at the annual Awards ceremony held on 25 February 2018 at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

We need more waffles in diplomacy. Or rather more personal connections to bridge those vast divides. So believed the Norwegian couple who orchestrated secret peace talks in 1993 between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization - a slice of stranger-than-fiction history grippingly dramatised in JT Rogers' play, which deservedly picked up this year's Tony Award.
