Due to demand, Ars Nova has added Saturday matinee performances on October 18, October 25 and November 1 for the world premiere engagement of Jacuzzi, a new play by Ars Nova's Company-in-Residence The Debate Society, written by Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen and directed by Obie Award-winner Oliver Butler. A limited Off-Broadway run begins tonight, September 30, and runs through November 1 at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street). Opening Night is Monday, October 13.

According to the New York Times, Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss will officially play the title role in an upcoming Broadway revival of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, opening in February 2015.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Phoenix Entertainment has on its agenda a touring revival of RAGTIME to commence in the Fall of 2015. It will be helmed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, who received a Tony Nomination as Best Director for the 2009 Broadway revival. This new tour will be much in the spirit of that production which was nominated for 7 Tony Awards in 2010.

Musician/composer/lyricist Michael Patrick Walker is world premiering a new musical Dog and Pony at the Old Globe in San Diego. Walker is best known as one of the composers of the hit musical Altar Boyz. He was nominated for a 2005 Lucille Lortel Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical and for two 2005 Drama Desk Awards for Best Music and for Best Lyrics for Altar Boyz. The show also won the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical. According to the New York Times, Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss is on her way back to Broadway. Producer Jeffrey Richards is currently in talks with the actress to play the title character in an upcoming Broadway revival of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Richards is reportedly eying Tony winner Pam McKinnon to direct the project, which is aiming to open in ' late winter or spring 2015.' An official announcement has not yet been made.

The 80th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon is being held this afternoon, May 16, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square, where winners will be announced for Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. Over 400 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm on Monday, June 2 at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street, NYC). In 2012, TDF's Open Doors was the first arts education program to receive a special Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre. This year, Open Doors had 27 mentors working with 24 groups of students from New York City high schools.

Eligibility and award category designations for the productions under consideration this season were determined by the Drama Desk board of directors with recommendations from the nominating committee. Because of the abundance of great work throughout the season, the Board also authorized the increase in the number of nominees allowed in select categories.
