Chris Lowell, Hannah Bos & More Will Star in JACUZZI at Ars Nova this Fall
Premier development hub and acclaimed new work producer Ars Nova has announced casting for the world premiere of Jacuzzi a new play by The Debate Society, Ars Nova's Company-in-Residence, directed by recent OBIE Award winner Oliver Butler. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated September 30 - November 1 at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street). Official Opening Night is Monday, October 13.
Jacuzzi will feature Hannah Bos (The Open House at Signature Theatre, The Debate Society's Blood Play) as Helene, Peter Friedman (The Open House at Signature Theatre, The Great God Pan at Playwrights Horizons) as Robert, Chris Lowell (Television: "Private Practice," "Veronica Mars"; Film: The Help) as Bo and Paul Thureen (Core Values at Ars Nova, The Debate Society's Blood Play) as Erik.In the Marshall family's peacefully remote Colorado ski chalet, Erik (Paul Thureen) and Helene (Hannah Bos) are making themselves very much at home. So at home, they just might stay for good. At the edge of civilization, the lifestyles of the rich collide with the lifestyles of the aimless in the bubbling waters of a hot tub. Jacuzzi includes scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Jessica Ford, lighting design by Bradley King, sound design by M.L. Dogg and prop design by Noah Mease. The Debate Society, comprised of long-term collaborators Hannah Bos, Oliver Butler and Paul Thureen, has been Ars Nova's Company-in-Residence since 2012 and received a commission as well as ongoing developmental support to create Jacuzzi. Tickets go on sale September 3 and are priced at $35 for all regular performances. Special preview pricing is available, with tickets $15 from September 30 - October 4 and $25 from October 6 - 11.
