Country music's finest will join ASCAP in honoring GRAMMY, CMA, ACM, AMA and Billboard Award-winning artist and songwriter Lee Ann Womack when she accepts the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award at this year's ASCAP Country Music Awards on Monday, November 12. The exclusive, invitation-only gala, which celebrates the songwriters and publishers of ASCAP's most performed country songs of the previous year, will draw hundreds of country songwriters, artists and industry VIPs to the event in downtown Nashville.

Producers Ira Pittelman and Tom Hulce have announced today that the new musical Ain't Too Proud – The Life and Times of the Temptations will bring the incredible true story of the greatest R&B group of all time to Broadway in Spring 2019 at the legendary Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). This morning in Nashville, during a live broadcast on SiriusXM'sBluegrass Junction, 15-time GRAMMY® winner Ricky Skaggswas formally announced as aninductee for the IBMA Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Along with Paul Williams, Tom T.Hall and the late Dixie Hall, Skaggs will be officially inducted onThursday, September 27 in Raleigh,NC at the International Bluegrass Music Awards. The awards show will be broadcast live at 7:00 p.m./ET on SiriusXM's Bluegrass Junction (Ch. 62).

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced that Ain't Too Proud-The Life and Times of the Temptations, which premiered at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, has broken the single-week box office record for the week ending Sunday, July 22, with a gross of $955,660.50. The critically acclaimed production, that ended its sold-out, five-week, pre-Broadway run on Sunday, broke the previous record of $916,877.00, held by the Kennedy Center's own 2011 hit production of Follies.

Award-winning songwriters will convene on Capitol Hill tomorrow, May 17, to meet with elected officials as part of the annual American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers' (ASCAP) 'Stand with Songwriters' Advocacy Day. They will ask senators to cosponsor the Music Modernization Act, the bipartisan music reform bill that passed unanimously in the U.S. House of Representatives on April 25 and was recently reintroduced in the Senate.
