UP Comedy Club is known for bringing the best stand-up comedy talent in the country to Chicago. The remainder of this fall's line-up features many of the best known names in comedy today, including Ian Bagg, Maz Jobrani, D.L. Hughley, Christopher Titus, Todd Barry Kyle Kinaneand Loni Love. Each show includes a feature stand-up comic and a local emcee that hosts the evening. In addition to this all-star line-up, UP Comedy Club also presents Porchlight Music Theatre's BEST MUSICAL! A Completely Improvised Musical Comedy, running October 2 - November 6, 2013.

George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced the casting of MARLO THOMAS, award-winning actress of stage and screen, in the world premiere production of Clever Little Lies, by Tony Award-winner JOE DiPIETRO (rescheduled from the 2012-13 season). Mr. Saint will helm the production, slated to take the stage in New Brunswick, November 19 - December 22. The remainder of the cast will be announced at a later date.

Michael Mendelson plays the lead role of Felix Artifex in Artists Rep's production of MISTAKES WERE MADE. Artistic Director Damaso Rodriguez directs Mendelson and guides the show to opening as the production's Associate Director. Preview performances begin tonight, September 24 and the play will open on September 28.

Ashley Williams will star as Ellen Roark in Rupert Holmes' stage adaptation of John Grisham's A Time To Kill, opening on Broadway on October 20, 2013 at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Shannon has signed on to the cast of Ramin Bahrani's 99 HOMES. The actor joins previously announced cast member Andrew Garfield in the drama.

Additional special events scheduled for September include "Hollywood Said No!" with David Cross, Bob Odenkirk & Brian Posehn, and "Risk! Live" hosted by Kevin Allison. Dinner will be available before and during the show.

Explosions In The Sky & David Wingo's stirring soundtrack for David Gordon Green's meditative new film, Prince Avalanche, was released last week. To accompany its release, a beautiful panoramic mural was painted on a wall across from McCarren Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
