Broadway/Hollywood crossover performers Jeffrey Wright and Michael Shannon feature alongside series star Steve Buscemi as well as S4 additions Ron Livingston and Patricia Arquette and more in a snazzy series of shots just released from the upcoming fourth season of HBO's Atlantic City-set period series BOARDWALK EMPIRE.

Wright's character, Valentin Narcisse, has been officially described by HBO as such: "Valentin Narcisse, Doctor of Divinity, philanthropist, student of culture and the man who runs Harlem."

A noted stage and screen actor, Wright is perhaps best known to many for his Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe-winning performance in the stage and screen versions of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning ANGELS IN AMERICA, among many other stage and screen roles.

Michael Shannon continues in his role of ever-changing and volatile former government agent and ex-religious fundamentalist Nelson Van Alden this season.

Shannon has proven himself expertly adept at portraying anti-heroes judging from his stunning work onstage and onscreen in the Tracy Letts drama BUG as well as in Martin McDonagh's THE PILLOWMAN in addition to many other notable unpleasant characters to date, ranging from REVOLUTIONARY ROAD to the recent THE ICEMAN and superhero mega-hit MAN OF STEEL. Shannon was most recently seen onstage last year in GRACE, co-starring Paul Rudd.

BOARDWALK EMPIRE has previously featured many stage stars over its first three seasons in addition to Buscemi and the main cast, with notable recurring roles played by Broadway regulars Bobby Cannavale, Stephen DeRosa, Danny Burstein, Rebecca Luker and Billy Magnussen.
