Bringing artists from all over the world, and from most every genre, the Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College - formerly known as Three Stages at Folsom Lake College - will offer literally hundreds of performances in 2013-14. Beginning in late July, 2013 and extending into spring 2014, the new season includes world-class performers like Kenny Loggins, Seinfeld's Jason Alexander, and Savion Glover; Broadway productions such as Peter and the Starcatcher, The Addams Family and Bring It On: The Musical (all of which are appearing in the capital region for the first time ever); and an unprecedented season of dance in Folsom which kicks off with Alonzo King LINES Ballet and also features Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Bellydance Superstars, Ballroom with a Twist, and return visits of the popular Moscow Festival Ballet's Swan Lake and Diavolo Dance Theatre; and many more, all on the stages at the Harris Center.

Bay Area Cabaret, devoted to presenting audiences with top performers who expand the definition of cabaret, enters its 10th season this fall with a gala series at the Fairmont San Francisco's historic Venetian Room. To celebrate this significant milestone, Bay Area Cabaret presents a star-studded lineup of performers making their Bay Area Cabaret debuts, as well as the return of a few favorites from the past decade. Opening the season Saturday, September 21, 2013 with a bang is Broadway's Megan Hilty, known to millions as the powerhouse 'Bombshell' on NBC's television program Smash. The season continues October 20, 2013 with Tony nominee Norm Lewis (The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess) and November 10, 2013 with 'America's romantic piano sensation,' multi-platinum selling recording artist Jim Brickman, joined by special guest Broadway heartthrob David Burnham.

'I never thought I'd have a kid on Broadway' says Rachel Rosenfeld, mother of Emily, who plays Molly the orphan in PBS' ANNIE: IT'S THE HARD-KNOCK LIFE, FROM SCRIPT TO STAGE, which airs to the public in select parts of the country tomorrow night. The program opens with Emily riding in her car and a visit to her home where she is practicing for the enviable role. She was one of 5,000 children who auditioned for the Broadway revival.

On Friday, July 5, 2013 The Ware Center will host the Exhibit DEPAUL/DEPAUL: A COLLABORATION IN ART & LIFE, THE CAT SHOW, music by Second Hand Suits and a hands-on drum event sponsored by Earth Rhythms. All these events take place between 6 - 8 p.m. and admission will be free. At 8 p.m. there will be a special screening of the high-definition, surround sound screening of Paul McCartney and Wing's high-energy ROCKSHOW.
NY Phil and Giants Are Small Open A DANCER'S DREAM Tonight

The New York Philharmonic will present A Dancer's Dream: Two Works by Stravinsky, a multidisciplinary, theatrical reimagining of the ballets The Fairy's Kiss and Petrushka, created by Giants Are Small. Sara Mearns, New York City Ballet principal dancer, will star in the production, which will be conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, directed and designed by Doug Fitch, choreographed by Karole Armitage, and produced by Edouard Getaz - tonight, June 27, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m.
