The Horton Foote Prizes, named in honor of the legendary writer, were established in 2010 to award excellence in American Theater. Presented last night, the first Horton Foote Prize was awarded to Ruined by Lynn Nottage for Outstanding New American Play and Middletown by Will Eno for Promising New American Play.This year's recipients are David Lindsay-Abaire's GOOD PEOPLE for Outstanding New American Play, along with Naomi Wallace's THE LIQUID PLAIN for Promising New American Play. CLYBOURNE PARK Leaves the Broadway Neighborhood Today, September 2

Clybourne Park, the 2012 Tony Award-winning 'Best Play', ends its Broadway run-extended twice already-today, September 2nd, at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Also the winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and Olivier Award, Clybourne Park is the wickedly funny and fiercely provocative new play about race, real estate and the volatile values of each. By its final performance today, the play will have played 27 previews and 157 regular performances.

Tickets for all preview performances were available for a special price of $50. The first 25 participants in line when the box office opens received a signed copy of the script by three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Edward Albee. This fall, one of America's most acclaimed theatre ensembles will take on one of the greatest plays of the 20th century when the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? comes to Broadway to celebrate the play's 50th anniversary.
