The Eventide Theatre Company has made a bold choice in sharing Frank's story with a Cape Cod audience through means of a score depicting her feelings while fearfully secluded in the "Secret Annex," with certain lyrics molded from actual quotes made by the young prisoner. On Eva Schloss' 15th birthday, her family was arrested by the Nazis and sent to concentration camps. She lived in the same apartment building as Anne Frank. Both families went into hiding the same day and both were betrayed. Yet Eva and her mother survived, and after the war her mother went on to marry Anne's father Otto Frank. This unique multimedia theatrical experience combines videotaped interviews from Holocaust survivors with live actors recreating scenes from their lives during World War II. This oral history breaks new ground and has been acclaimed by audiences and critics world-wide. WARNING: Contains some graphic images and moments that would be disturbing for younger children.
