The first North American tour of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of THE COLOR PURPLE begins tonight, October 7, 2017 in Schenectady, New York at Proctors. The tour will have its official opening October 17, 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland at The Hippodrome Theatre.

Performances will begin October 7, 2017 in Schenectady, New York at Proctors and the tour will have its official opening October 17, 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland at The Hippodrome Theatre. The Green Room 42, presents (from the cast of Broadway's 'Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812') Kennedy Caughell in her solo concert debut, on June 19th, 2017 at 8:00 PM. The evening, entitled '#SWINGnation' features music ranging from Cole Porter to Sara Bareilles, swung by one of Broadway's hottest rising stars.

The wickedly talented Idina Menzel (Elphaba) and Kristin Chenoweth (Galinda) were the talks of the town in Stephen Schwartz's new musical. The magical question is, how do you keep a musical relevant and box office worthy in this day and age when rapping forefathers capture the masses? My answer is, if it ain't broke, then don't fix it. This show evolves in every way, from the music, movement, costume and make-up design we are taken on a magical journey.
