CT Free Shakespeare/Dandelion Productions is excited to announce that we will be participating in Fairfield County Community Foundation's Fairfield County's Giving Day which takes place today, March 9 from Midnight to 11:59 pm.  The minimum donation through this site is $10. The first $10,000 in donations to CFS/Dandelion Productions will be matched by a generous CFS sponsor.  Donors will receive acknowledgement of their tax free donations. Donations must be made through the Giving Day site and on March 9 for us to receive the matching donation.

A free public concert of DEATHLESS will be held at the Weston Playhouse on Saturday, March 4 at 8pm. Weston Associate Artistic Director Michael Berresse will direct the concert reading. 

The Johnny Mercer Foundation (JMF) and the American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University announce Stephen Bray, Tony, and Grammy-nominated songwriter for The Color Purple, will join the 12th annual Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project as a Master Teacher.

Writer/composer Zack Zadek's DEATHLESS has been chosen for the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company's 11th annual New Musical Award. Nominated by Jennifer Ashley Tepper of Feinstein's/54 Below, DEATHLESS follows the road trip of a grieving family who are asking questions about life and death in the modern age in the face of the development of a pill that can prevent natural death. Tepper describes DEATHLESS as 'an intimate, meaningful new musical driven by its original voice, moving score, and knowledge of the human heart.' Developed in part at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Goodspeed Musicals, Signature Theatre, and Merry Go Round Playhouse, DEATHLESS is slated for a developmental production at Goodspeed's Norma Terris Theatre in June.

This year marks the 25th year of Artistic Director, Jacqui Hubbard's involvement with The Ivoryton Playhouse. Beginning as a Board member in 1991, she became Board President and in 1999 she was hired as Artistic/Executive Director and oversees all aspects of this small, historic gem of a theatre.
