Sundance Institute spotlights work at the dynamic crossroads of film, art and technology with the New Frontier selections for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, announced today. This curated collection of cutting-edge independent and experimental media works are by creators who are pushing artistic innovation across new mediums that include VR, AR, mixed reality (MR) and AI. Programmers assembled a global slate of work from a mix of invitations and submissions to an open call for VR work earlier this year.

Back by popular demand, On The Rocks Theatre Company remounts their festive holiday bar pageant, Edelweiss, in the Dixon Place Lounge. The production is written by On The Rocks co-founders Christopher Ford & Dakota Rose with original music by their frequent collaborator Andrew R. Butler. Ms. Rose helms the production as director. Edelweiss will play four performances only - December 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd at 7:30p, in the Dixon Place Lounge. Admission is FREE. Tickets can be reserved by visiting www.dixonplace.org.

Fresh Ground Pepper (FGP), a New York City based arts incubator in its 10th season of instigating and presenting new work, is proud to announce its first ever multi-week emerging arts festival at The New Ohio Theatre from April 10 through 21, 2018. The inaugural FGP Festival will present art parties, new works-in-progress, and workshop productions that span genre, form, and interactivity, including new works of performance, visual art, comedy, music, immersive theatre, board gaming, and literature.

Target Margin Theater will dedicate its 24th season to the exploration of works created by the great American novelist, poet and playwright, Gertrude Stein. The 2015 Season begins in January 2015 with The TMT Stein Winter Lab at The Bushwick Starr in Brooklyn, and concludes in May 2015 with the world premiere of Composition…Master-Pieces…Identity, a new performance piece from Obie Award-winner David Greenspan, and The TMT Stein Spring Lab, that will run in tandem at The Connelly Theater at the Cornelia Connelly Center in Manhattan.

Artistic Director Robert Lyons presents the 21st annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival. Ice Factory 2014 takes place at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City. Japan Society presents a staged reading of Getting Lost by Japanese playwright Shiro Maeda, directed by New York-based theater artist Dan Safer. As part of Japan Society's 60th Anniversary Performing Arts Season, Getting Lost marks the 10th installment of the Society's annual Play Reading Series of contemporary Japanese plays in English translation. The Play Reading Series reflects a continued commitment to introduce the wide range of contemporary Japanese plays to American audiences, seeding possibilities for development of American productions of Japanese plays. This event takes place tonight, Monday, March 31 at 7:30 PM at Japan Society (333 East 47th Street).
