David Tennant and Catherine Tate are to appear together on stage for the first time in a new production of William Shakespeare's timeless comedy Much Ado About Nothing directed by Josie Rourke. Opening at Wyndham's Theatre on Wednesday 1 June with previews from Monday 16 May and booking until Saturday 3 September 2011, Much Ado About Nothing is presented in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions. Booking for the production opens today (8 January 2011) and further casting will be announced shortly.

LaBute will make his Broadway directorial debut with the play, which begins performances Tuesday, April 12, 2011 for an official opening night of Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
