In what is believed to be the world's biggest blind date, the producers of the musical ONCE in Toronto have arranged for 1,200 single people to go on blind dates on Wednesday, June 3rd at an evening performance of the Tony Award-winning musical. Below, check out this video from this event!

School of Rock-The Musical may not hit Broadway until later this year, but a select group of people are currently getting a sneak peek at the Grammercy Theatre to watch an early version of the new musical. With the performances underway, the creative team, including Andrew Lloyd Webber and Julian Fellowes, have released a new video detailing the show's journey to the stage. Check it out below!

Creator Andrew Lloyd Webber has invited guests (scroll down to read the full, official invitation letter!) to the Grammercy Theatre to watch an early version of SCHOOL OF ROCK-THE MUSICAL. Tickets are now on sale for the preview concerts, scheduled for tonight, June 3 at 7:30pm, tomorrow, June 4 at 7:30pm, Friday, June 5 at 7:30pm and Saturday, June 6 at 2:00pm.

Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce that ONCE, winner of eight TONY AWARDS including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will return to Chicago to play the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W Randolph) for a limited one-week engagement from tonight, June 2 through June 7. He writes in the invitation: 'Someone up there in cyberspace has intimated that you might be interested in an invitation to a rather unusual theater event. The very first incarnation of 'School of Rock' will be a staged, actually highly staged concert at the Gramercy Theater for just a few performances.' The article also reveals that the show, which begins previews on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Winter Garden Theatre, will star Alex Brightman (Wicked, Big Fish, Matilda) as substitute teacher, Dewey. Additional casting has not yet been announced. 

Disney and Cameron Mackintosh are delighted to announce further dates for their multi award-winning musical MARY POPPINS.

Over 400 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm on Monday, June 1 at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street, NYC).   TDF's Open Doors was the first arts education program to receive a special Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre when it received the special honor in 2012. This year, Open Doors had 30 mentors working with 24 groups of students from New York City high schools.

The Kennedy Center presents the musical Once from July 7 - August 16, 2015, in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. The winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, Once is based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film with music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. The production stars Stuart Ward as Guy and Dani de Waal as Girl. Once is recommended for ages 10 and older. The press opening night is Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
