The West End production of Motown the Musical, opening at the Shaftesbury Theatre in February next year, held open casting auditions in London today (7 July 2015).  Almost 200 people attended and auditioned for the opportunity to portray the iconic artists of Motown in the musical.

The Kennedy Center presents the musical Once from tonight, July 7 - August 16, 2015, in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater.

Disney and Cameron Mackintosh recently announced that ZIZI STRALLEN will play 'Mary Poppins' and MATT LEE will play 'Bert' in the forthcoming UK and Ireland tour of their multi award-winning musical MARY POPPINS, opening at Leicester Curve on 12 October 2015. Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy reprise their critically acclaimed West End performances in the hit London production of David Hare's Skylight at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), closing today, June 21. Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Stephen Daldry, SKYLIGHT played to sold-out houses when it opened in the West End in June. It recently won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.

Gigi, the new Broadway production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy, will play its final performance today, Sunday, June 21 at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street). The production, which began previews on Thursday, March 19 and opened officially on Wednesday, April 8, will have played 20 previews and 86 performances.

The second UK tour of MARY POPPINS has found its leading lady! The Daily Mail writes that Zizi Strallen will take on the title role in the production, which kicks off at the Leicester Curve on October 13, 2015. Strallen will be joined onstage by Matt Lee as 'Bert'.
