Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) continues its season of monthly networking panels with Projecting the Future: When and How to Use New Technology on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 7:30pm at The Players Theatre's Steve & Marie Sgouros Theatre, 3rd floor, 115 MacDougal Street, NYC. Fresh from Ivanov starring Ethan Hawke, Obie- Award winning director Austin Pendleton directs Tennessee Williams' stark and religiously sensual morality play Suddenly Last Summer with the Mississippi Mud. This is the play that moved Brookes Atkinson to praise Williams as being "at the peak of his talent as a poet of the damned." It is brought to life in a new bold raw space production that places center stage the lush language of this modern fable. Unfiltered 2012 opens tonight, November 16, at 7:00pm and now runs through January 11 at Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST), 549 West 52nd Street. (Original dates were November 9 through December 7.)

Today, November 12th will see the release of 'Live Kisses' - a stunning 13-song film, directed by Jonas Åkerlund, that captures the magic of an extraordinary evening in February of this year. In the intimate surroundings of Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, where Paul recorded much of his 'Kisses On The Bottom' album, he was reunited with the all-star musicians who joined him on the record to bring the songs to life for a once in a lifetime performance.

An oil portrait of the late Suzanne Lemberg Usdan, a Founding Trustee of the Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, has been donated to the Center by Dr. Jerrold Ross, a former Trustee of the Center and its longtime President. Dr. Ross is Dean of the Department of Education at St. John's University in Queens, and Academic Vice Presidentof the University's Staten Island campus. The portrait, painted by internationally known artist Norman Blackwell, commemorates the 10th anniversary of Mrs. Usdan's death.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banned a Christian Dior mascara ad featuring Oscar winner Natalie Portman. The complaint filed accused the Dior Show New Look Mascara of airbrushing the ad to exaggerate the advertised effects of the 'multi-dimensional volume and treatment mascara.'

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, a TimeOutNY/Kids "Best Camp for 2012" which has just completed its 45th season, will present a special off-season event, An Afternoon With Jane Monheit, performances by the internationally acclaimed jazz singer and Usdan alumna, today, October 14. The Grammy-nominated vocalist will perform two 75-minute concerts with her band, at 2 PM and then a repeat performance at 4:30 PM at Usdan's intimate Maurice B. Hexter Recital Hall.
