The Brown Paper Box Co. presents ALOHA, SAY THE PRETTY GIRLS by award-winning playwright Naomi Iizuka. The play will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM, now through June 16 at the Heartland Studio in Rogers Park (7016 North Glenwood Avenue, Chicago, IL 60626). Athenaeum Theatre to Present World Premiere of The Ruckus' FACING ANGELA, 6/29-7/28

The Ruckus Theater is excited to announce its upcoming world premiere of Facing Angela. First written ten years ago and re-imagined through a recent workshop with The Ruckus, Facing Angela is written by Season 4 featured playwright Scott T. Barsotti and is directed by Kyra Lewandowski. The cast of six is a motley crew of Ruckus regulars and Chicago theater favorites. Facing Angela will be performed at the Athenaeum Theatre (2936 N. Southport) June 29-July 28, 2013. All performances are at 8:00pm. In observance of Independence Day, there will not be a show on July 4. There will be an industry performance on Mon. July 8 at 8pm. Preview tickets on June 27 and June 28 are $12. General tickets are $17.

Keen Teens, the educational theatre partnership between Off-Broadway's Keen Company and the theatrical publishing company Samuel French, has selected the writers for the program's seventh season: Jonathan Caren, Madeleine George, and Anna Moench, who have been commissioned to write thirty-minute, large cast plays, which will be produced with student actors Off-Broadway.

Actors Theatre of Louisville Opens GNIT, 3/17

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein have announced the world premiere of Gnit by Will Eno, directed by Artistic Director Les Waters. The play will run in the Pamela Brown Auditorium and will begin previews on March 15, open March 17 and run through April 7. The 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays is made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation. Gnit is presented as part of the Brown Forman Series, by special arrangement with Signature Theatre and was developed at The Pershing Square Signature Center, with thanks to the J.A.W. Directed by Tea Alagi?, The Brothers Size will run Jan. 26 - Feb. 24, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run Jan. 26 - Jan. 30.
