Currently playing at East Lynne Theater Company is N. Richard Nash's beautiful comedy-drama-Western 'The Rainmaker,' running Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 PM through August 31, at The First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes Street, where the company has been in residence since 1999. 

'The Rainmaker,' a deeply touching play, is being performed through August 18 on the Mainstage of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ). Written by N. Richard Nash, the show is brilliantly directed by the Theatre's Artistic Director, Bonnie J. Monte.

On August 1, N. Richard Nash's daughter, Amanda, who lives in Massachusetts, came to see East Lynne Theater Company's 'The Rainmaker' and brought four cousins, including Lois, the daughter of Nash's sister Mae, who was the inspiration for 'Lizzie' in this comedy-drama. They all loved the play, which again received a standing ovation. Amanda thanked director Gayle Stahlhuth for 'bringing this family back to life' in such 'a wonderful production.' She grew up with this play and the profits from it paid for her college education.

Remember Henry Albertson? Sure, you do. He's that ancient, arthritic, fragile/agile but eternally game actor who traveled by stage trunk from scene to scene throughout the longest-running musical of all time, 'The Fantasticks.' San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon has announced the complete array of programming for its upcoming 2019-2020 season.

The Shakespeare Theatre's 57th season promises to thrill audiences with productions filled with swashbucklers, star-crossed lovers, holiday magic, and wild and delightful comedy. Beginning in June and continuing through December, the 2019 season will include five productions on the 308-seat Main Stage at The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre in Madison, and one production at its Outdoor Stage, located on the campus of the College of Saint Elizabeth.

Buck Creek Players brings hope and beauty to the stage this summer with N.
