20th Century Fox 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring 'South Pacific: 50th Anniversary Edition' to Blu-ray on March 31st, day-and-date with the DVD re-release. This two disc set will present both the theatrical and roadshow versions of the film utilizing 2.20:1 1080p video accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.

It's a story, of a lovely lady ... Florence Henderson gave audiences in Los Angele's Catalina Club an up close and 'Honest' night of entertainment with 'All The Lives Of Me,' under the musical direction of Broadway composer and Emmy Award winner Glen Roven. Friends and colleagues included Carol Burnett, Donna Mills, Robert Wagner, Rita McKenzie, Mitzi Gaynor, Norm Crosby, and Bruce Vilanch (who is credited as a co writer of the program) among others, were on hand as Florence Henderson opened with a hysterically funny number entitled 'Lifted,' before treating audiences to a look at all of her lives. She prefaced that she didnt mean lives like Shirley MacLaine has lives, but rather as a young girl growing up in KY as the youngest of ten children.

The Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood, CA was transformed into an Old Hollywood 1920s Classic Themed Party, replete with breathtaking 20-foot-high Art Deco silver statues and other stunning decorative ornaments from the period, as guests attending the Hollywood Arts Council's Historic Sold-Out 30th Anniversary Black-Tie Gala and 22nd Annual Charlie Awards strolled down a 30-foot-long Red Carpet to a cozy and intimate Outdoor Courtyard Reception and Silent Auction, later followed by an elegant three-course catered Dinner and Awards Show, held on the Jim Henson Studios' Sound Stage on Saturday, March 29, 2008.

Arrivals for The Hollywood Arts Council's 30th Anniversary Gala and 22nd Annual Charlie Awards honoring individuals, businesses and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to Hollywood's art and culture will take place at Jim Henson Studios, historic site of the original Charlie Chaplin Studios and A&M Records and present home of the world-famous Muppets; 1416 North LaBrea Avenue. On March 29, a celebrity and VIP reception with cocktails and a silent auction will beging at 6:30pm with a finner and the program to follow at 7:30. Recepients this year are Bob Mackie (Inagural Fashion Arts Award), the Hollywood Wax Museum (Entertainment Arts Award), the Blank Theatre at 2nd Stage (Theatre Arts Award), Community Redevelopment Agency (Public Art Award), Iron Mountain (Preservation Arts Award), Cinefamily/Silent Movie Theatre (Cinematic Arts Award), AYLA Arslanian (Community Arts Award) and Councilmember Tom LaBonge (Special Recognition Award). Bob Mackie, the legendary fashion icon who has been hailed as the Sultan of Sequins and the Rajah of Rhinestones for his sparkling, visually stunning and imaginative costume designs, will be honored with the Inaugural Fashion Arts Charlie Award by the Hollywood Arts Council at their Black-Tie 30th Anniversary Gala and 22nd Annual Charlie Awards, emceed by KABC's George Pennachio, to be held at the Jim Henson Studios, the site of the original Charlie Chaplin Studios and home of the world-famous Muppets; 1416 North LaBrea Avenue (south of Sunset Boulevard and De Longpre Avenue); Hollywood, CA 90028 on Saturday, March 29, 2008. Mackie's Award will be presented by Golden Globe-nominated actress, Mitzi Gaynor. The event will be dedicated to the late Honorary Mayor of Hollywood, Johnny Grant.
