After a 9-year absence, a triple dose of the legendary Lypsinka, John Epperson's iconic creation, is currently being doled out, and the 'Goddess of Showbiz' has deigned to grace New York City with her sweeping presence in LYPSINKA! In between rehearsals for BROADWAY & BEYOND, the inaugural event at Orlando's beautiful new Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, world-renowned soprano Deborah Voigt and Broadway leading lady Sierra Boggess decided to explore some of the finer points of the gorgeous 'facilities.' The only question is, why was theatre icon Richard Jay-Alexander filming?

Without my MODERN FAMILY fix last week — the timeslot was given to some huge Country Music Awards show — I was extra eager to see what the Pritchetts and Dunphys were up to this week. Well, folks, with Cam and Mitch involved in a jealous rivalry again, Gloria partaking in hijinks with a Spanish tutor, and of course, a double dose of guest stars in Andy DeVine and Michael Urie (who recently made his Broadway debut in 2011's HOW TO SUCCEED), it's safe to say that, overall, this week's outing did not disappoint.

Without question, Orlando, Florida is one of the most exciting entertainment destinations in the world. From theme parks, to water parks, to world class shows, there is nearly something for everyone. Well, this Saturday, Orlando opens another exciting entertainment venue, The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. In three days, the Orlando arts community will be forever changed as The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts presents its inaugural show, BROADWAY & BEYOND. Directed by theatrical legend Richard Jay-Alexander (Executive Producer for the original Broadway productions of LES MISERABLES and MISS SAIGON), the performance will feature stars from all imaginable entertainment disciplines, including Broadway's current Phantom of the Opera, Central Florida native Norm Lewis; Broadway's Little Mermaid, Sierra Boggess; star of stage and screen Michael Urie; and many more. New York's funniest show Celebrity Autobiography has added music icon Debbie Harry, four-time Oscar nominee Marsha Mason, and Ralph Macchio (My Cousin Vinny, The Karate Kid, Dancing with the Stars) to the cast of its November show on Monday, November 24 at 7pm at The Triad (Stage 72 -- 158 West 72nd Street). They will join previously announced stars of stage and screen Matthew Broderick (currently starring in It's Only A Play on Broadway), Janeane Garofalo (the upcoming Bravo series Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce), Michael Urie (Buyer & Cellar, Ugly Betty), Tate Donovan (24, Damages) & Drama Desk-winners Eugene Pack & Dayle Reyfel.

Red Bull Theater's Revelations Readings kicked off its new season with a gala benefit reading of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S THE TEMPEST, featuring Michael Cerveris as Prospero. Directed by Jesse Berger the cast also included De'Adre Aziza, Gerry Bamman, Clifton Duncan,Angel Desai, Sean Patrick Doyle, Glenn Fleshler, Carman Lacivita, Drew Ledbetter, Matthew Rauch, Jay O. Sanders,Stephen Spinella, Raphael Nash Thompson, Auden Thornton,Michael Urie, Marc Vietor, and more. The Tempest featured original live music by Greg Pliska. It took place for one night only on October 20th at Playwrights Horizons, 416 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues. LIVE FROM GRAMERCY PARK at The Players with LANCE HORNE - the new concert series dedicated to presenting the best music, theater and cabaret stars along with dynamic rising talent - will take place tonight, October 27th at 8:30 PM.
