STATE OF THE ARTS (SOTA), the critically acclaimed weekly performing arts radio series which previously, since its May 31, 2010 premiere, aired live on Mondays from 4:00 - 4:50 pm PST on the LATalkRadio.com Network, is moving its weekly broadcast to Thursdays beginning today, July 19, 2012, it was previously announced by State of the Arts co-producer/co-hosts and theatre professionals MICHAEL STERLING & Paul Stroili.

Guests on July 19 will include TV, Broadway star and Tony Award nominee CHRISTOPHER SIEBER (Shrek The Musical, and co-star with George Hamilton in the U.S. National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles; and Film and Television star ESAI MORALES (La Bamba, NYPD Blue, Caprica - Syfy TV's prequel to the series Battlestar Galactica).

7th MONARCH, a new play by Jim Henry, featuring Tony Award winner Michael Rupert, is adding a special holiday performance this Sunday, July 8th at 7 PM to celebrate the end of 4th of July week! 7th Monarch opened June 24th for a limited Off-Broadway engagement through September 9th at Theatre Row's Acorn Theatre. In addition to Michael Rupert, the cast of 7th MONARCH features Michael Cullen, Gretchen Hall, Leslie Hendrixand Matthew Humphreys, under the direction of Scott C. Embler.

Jim Henry's 7th MONARCH celebrated its opening night on Sunday, June 24th with a post-performance party at Angus McIndoe.

This Friday, April 27, 'Submissions Only' will air its episode 2 season finale, featuring previously announced guest star Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, On The Town), right here on BroadwayWorld. Continuing its six year reign as the most popular and award-winning supper club of its kind in the greater Los Angeles area, dedicated to presenting the best of Broadway performers and nightclub artists dedicated to the Great American Songbook, Sterling's Upstairs had its Grand Opening Sunday, April 1st at The Federal Bar and Restaurant in North Hollywood's trendy NoHo Arts District. Sterling's presented Bruce Kimmel's Kritzerland production of Take Me Along: The Songs of Bob Merrill as its premiere offering. The six member cast starred musical theatre stars Julie Garnye and Juliana Hansen, Broadway's Melody Hollis and Kristofer McNeely, and musical theatre star Jeffrey Christopher Todd, with Special Guest... Broadway, film, TV, concert and recording star Lainie Kazan. Christy Crowel served as the evening's Musical Director, with Shelly Markham serving as Musical Director for Lainie Kazan. Bruce Kimmel conceived, produced and directed Take Me Along, with Adryan Russ on board as Associate Producer.

'Submissions Only' is in full production for Episode 8 of its second season, and BroadwayWorld was invited inside the shoot with special guest star Jesse Tyler Ferguson! Details of the episode are under wraps, but it promises to deliver special surprises featuring additional returning guest stars Beth Leavel as Penny's mother, Val, and Rick Elice as her step father, Don Martin, with more to be announced soon!
