Combining all of Herman's greatest hits, SHOWTUNE delights and takes audiences on a journey throughout musical history.

Fly' (Songs Inspired By The Film Eddie The Eagle), is set for release on March 18th through Universal Music Enterprises. The album, the brainchild of Take That's Gary Barlow, is the ultimate 80's homage featuring some of the biggest stars from this incredible period in pop music history.

STAGE RAW is pleased to announce the SECOND ANNUAL STAGE RAW LOS ANGELES THEATER AWARDS, championing the best work of 2015 in L.A.'s still-embattled theaters of up to 99-seats.

Jerry Herman's hit Broadway shows will sing and dance their way onto The Winter Park Playhouse Mainstage on March 18-19 and March 31-April 23. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m. and select Wednesday, Friday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.  The preview performance is Thursday, March 17 at 7:30p.m.

Sometimes it seems there is so much theater happening that it's difficult to keep track of it all. From personal experience, despite all the datebooks, smart phones, tablets, desktop computers and laptops...it's hard to keep everything straight in this wacky business of the show.

Asolo Rep will present the first public reading of Pulitzer and Greenfield Prize-winner Nilo Cruz's new play Bathing in Moonlight as the third and final reading of its sixth annual Unplugged New Play Festival. The reading will be presented on Sunday, April 19 at 7pm in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts Cook Theatre. Members of the Nashville theater community will gather today to lay to rest - and celebrate the thriving legacy - of A.W. 'Big John' Chaffin, the founder of Music City's first professional theater company and the patriarch of one of the first families of Tennessee theater.

Winter Park Playhouse prides itself on being the home of feel-good musical theatre in Central Florida, and their traditional slate of familiar titles and standard-centric revues almost always has you leaving with a smile on your face. However, with their current show, A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD/A NIGHT IN THE UKRAINE, running through March 28th, the beloved theatre company has seemingly risen to a new level of satisfying warm and fuzziness. The show, which was nominated for nine Tonys in 1980, won two statues; the first for Tommy Tune (who also directed) and Thommie Walsh's choreography, while Priscilla Lopez took home the award for Best Featured Actress. With book and lyrics by Dick Vosburgh and music by Frank Lazarus, the play consists of two loosely connected, toe-tapping, side-splitting acts that pay homage to old Hollywood. Despite the show's pedigree, it is rarely ever produced, but with Michael Edwards' extremely tight direction, and the best collection of talent that I have ever seen at WPP, it makes you wonder why this musical bundle of joy isn't part of every regional theatre's repertoire.
