Syfy is joining creative forces with FOX Television Studios, Academy Award©-winning director/producer Robert Zemeckis, producers Jack Rapke and Jackie Levine, and feature film writing team John Brancato and Michael Ferris (Terminator Salvation, The Game) to develop the series project No Place, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President of Original Content, Syfy and Co-Head Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. Zemeckis and Rapke are executive producers along with Brancato and Ferris who will write the pilot.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center is set to honor Christopher Plummer at a gala event Monday evening, April 15th in New York City. The 13th Annual Monte Cristo Award will be presented to Mr. Plummer by fellow stage and film legend Kevin Spacey. Mr. Spacey was the recipient of the Monte Cristo Award in 2009. Red carpet and cocktails begin at 6:30pm at the Edison Ballroom on West 47th Street, followed by dinner, and a program celebrating the honoree.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the presenter line up for the upcoming 40th Chaplin Award honoring Academy Award-winner Barbra Streisand, on the evening of April 22nd at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center. Last night, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas spent a perfect night out on Broadway at the hit musical Newsies. During intermission, they were reading through their Playbill, discussing the cast and noting the work of Tony Award-winning choreographer Christopher Gattelli. At the end of the show, they joined in the immediate standing ovation and went backstage following the performance to meet the cast, taking photos with leads Corey Cott and Kara Lindsay.
