Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), announces the establishment of The Zelda Fichandler Award to recognize an outstanding director or choreographer who is making a unique and exceptional contribution through his or her work in regional theatre.

Showtime's 'Dexter' star Michael C. Hall will star in the new indie film 'East Fifth Bliss.' The picture will be directed by Michael Knowles.

Ken Kleiber of 'That's Kentertainment!' will be welcoming Patricia Resnick (bookwriter of '9 to 5 The Musical') as a guest on 'The Kentertainment Report' segment of the 'Frank DeCaro Show' Thursday April 23rd at Noon on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, Channel 109. Resnick, also the co-screenwriter of the film '9 to 5', will discuss the upcoming Broadway opening of '9 to 5' The Musical plus other projects inlcuding a Nick, Jr. series she recently wrote and Executive-Produced, plus a new memoir she is currently penning. And, as a happy coincidence, Ms. Resnick wrote the Dolly Parton/James Woods vehicle 'Straight Talk', a film which happens to contain the first on-screen appearance of Ken Kleiber! Jimmy Smits, last seen on Broadway in 2003 portraying Juan Julian in ANNA IN THE TROPICS, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Nilo Cruz about a Cuban family bringing the cigar business to Florida, is now starring in the Emmy Award-winning Showtime television drama DEXTER. On DEXTER, which stars Michael C. Hall in the leading role, Smits plays the role of the Miami Assistant District Attorney Miguel Prado.

Tonight on 'That's Kentertainment!,' host Ken Kleiber brings you the cast of [title of show] in an encore airing celebrating their run on Broadway which concludes October 12.

The stars of the Showtime Network were out in force on Wednesday September 24th to celebrate the upcoming premieres of 'Dexter' and 'Californication'. Michael C. Hall and Evan Handler were on hand to promote and represent their respective programs, while Mary-Louise Parker came out to support her fellow network stars. The event took place at the Showtime House. Mary-Louise Parker will star in the upcoming Broadway production of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen. The production features a new adaptation by Christopher Shinn and will be directed by Ian Rickson.

So far at this evening's Emmy Awards, theater stars Jeremy Piven, Dianne Wiest, Laura Linney, Dame Eileen Atkins and Zeljko Ivanek are among the winners.

This morning, July 17th 2008 the nominations for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced by Kristin Chenoweth and Neil Patrick Harris. The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 13th at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
