The National Music Theater Institute (NMTI) students have just returned to campus from two weeks training in New York City; scroll down for photos from the visit! NMTI is the newest credit-earning, semester-long intensive from the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. Utilizing the O'Neill's 50-year experience in training young theater artists and history of developing new musicals (including Nine, Avenue Q, In The Heights, [title of show], and Violet), NMTI offers broad-based training in all areas of musical theater: acting, singing, directing, writing, dance, composition, and choreography. In addition to the semester's rigorous curriculum-classes 14 hours a day, 7 days a week with emphasis on collaboration and the creation of original work- two weeks of the semester are spent learning in the epicenter of American music theater.

Signature Theatre just released two ELMER GANTRY music videos: Elmer Gantry grows Sister Sharon's ministry into the hottest show on the road by adding the gospel voices of the Washington family, whose matriarch Mary (Nova Y. Payton, HAIRSPRAY, DREAMGIRLS) leads the choir in the praise-worthy 'On the Road', and Elmer Gantry (Charlie Pollock, Broadway's VIOLET) finds himself at a crossroads, ready to take on the next adventure, but only the Lord knows where he'll end up next - Sharon Falconer's tent revival - in 'Between Trains.' Signature Theatre presents Elmer Gantry, a musical version of Sinclair Lewis' best-selling novel, directed by Signature's Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Follies, Million Dollar Quartet). Schaeffer collaborated on the last production of Elmer Gantry at Marriott's Lincolnshire Theatre in Chicago with authors John Bishop (book), Mel Marvin (music) and Bob Satuloff (lyrics) in 1998; the show has not been produced since then. This will be the 5th production in the show's history. Running in the MAX Theatre October 7 - November 9, Signature's production will include several brand new songs by Mel Marvin and Bob Satuloff and a reimagined script that John Bishop worked on until his death in 2006. Even with its 'endless summer' weather, Orange County certainly embraces the spirit of the holidays. This year, audiences can look forward to four unique and fun-filled seasonal shows at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The holiday concert season at the Center kicks off with beloved American singer/songwriter Judy Collins in her show, Holidays and Hits (December 6) performing an array of holiday classics as well as her inspiring interpretations of folk standards. This is followed by the whimsical and critically acclaimed show DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL (December 10 - 14). The enchanting and ever popular Celtic Woman returns with the spirited show Home for Christmas - The Symphony Tour (December 15), and, finally, the popular Fiesta Navidad with Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano (December 23) rounds out the holiday programming with an evening of traditional Mexican songs and dance.

2014-2015 at Children's Theatre Company is a season of dreams fulfilled.
