Dee Dee Bridgewater will perform a tribute to the legendary Billie Holiday that will feature selections from Bridgewater's latest recording, 'Eleanora Fagan (1915-1959): To Billie With Love From Dee Dee,' for which Ms. Bridgewater received the 2011 Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album. She will sing and scat her way to a fresh interpretation of Holiday's signature melodies, accompanied by the quartet of Edsel Gomez (Piano), Kenny Davis (Bass), Jaz Sawyer (drums) and Craig Handy (reeds). MILLER THEATRE AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF THE ARTS announces the New York City open-air premiere of John Luther Adams' Inuksuit

Week Three of Lincoln Center's 23rd season of Midsummer Night Swing runs from Tuesday through Saturday, July 12-July 16. The event takes place at the band shell in Damrosch Park, on West 62nd Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.

Now in its 7th year, National Dance Week-NYC (NDW-NYC), a yearly festival that advocates dance conditioning and wellness, will offer more than 100 FREE dance, fitness and wellness classes over the course of 10 days, starting June 17, 2011. The festival will commence with a flash mob in Union Square followed by a kickoff event at Union Bar on Wednesday, June 15. A culminating performance to celebrate NYC arts will take place at Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance on Sunday, June 26 and will feature presentations by American Tap Dance Foundation: Tap City Youth Ensemble, Aveia, Ballet Noir, Billy Elliot the Musical, COBU, Creative Outlet Dance Theatre of Brooklyn, Flamenco con Magdalena, The Hip-Hop Dance Conservatory, and Marie-Christine Giordano Dance.

When Mark Taylor needed funds to complete his third CD, he turned to an unconventional source. friends, family and fans. Working with the fan-funding website RocketHub.com, Mark's project raised enough money to cover duplication and design costs. Taylor will present the results of this unusual collaboration at the CD release party for At What Age May 29th at Cornelia St. Cafe.
