Ray Mantilla et al to Appear at Englewood's 'Music Downtown' Series, 8/18 - 9/29

The Englewood Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) in cooperation with bergenPAC is pleased to announce its free "Music Downtown" series. Taking place at different restaurant locations starting Thursday, August 18th with Tony Cimorosi Group who will perform at the newly expanded Blue Moon Restaurant on Palisades Avenue in Englewood, New Jersey.

Concerts will happen along the sidewalks of Englewood from 6-8pm every Thursday from August 18th until September 29th. Families will have the opportunity to hear world class musicians of all cultures while sampling from the widest selection of the best restaurants and retail shopping that New Jersey has to offer.

EEDC president Chuck Silberman said "this is a great way to celebrate the end of summer - last year thousands of people attended these concerts and the response grew each week. The ability to try a new restaurant while listening to a swing band or adding a little entertainment to your shopping trip or dining experience."

The schedule for the series is as follows:

AUGUST 2011
18 Tony Cimorosi Group - an evening of jazz by led by world known bassist Tony Cimorosi - Englewood native Cimorosi has toured with everyone from Randy Brecker to the Temptations
25 Bob Harris Bluegrass - top bluegrass musicians who also play with Vassar Clemens, Loggins and Messina and many others

SEPTEMBER 2011
1 Ray Mantilla Quartet - Latin Grammy winning conga player Mantilla has toured with the giants of jazz including Max Roach, Gato Barbieri, Dizzy Gillespie and Art Blakey
8 Swingtime - put on your dancing shoes and swing the night away
15 Jeremy Wall Quartet - known for his tenure with Spirogyra, Wall's Quartet promises an evening of world class jazz fusion
22 Jim Mosca and Friends- the boundaries between blues and jazz is taken to the next level
29 Primitive Soul - classic rock covers ranging from the Beatles to Clapton and more. Members have performed with Aretha to Jon Bonjovi and Marvin Gaye to Southside Johnny
