Pan American Musical Art Research (PAMAR), founded in 1984 by Uruguayan-born pianist Polly Ferman, Artistic Director of PAMAR, presents the 14th Annual Latin American Cultural Week (LACW), November 9 through 19, 2019.

On Tuesday evening November 12 vocalists Celia Castro, Ilya Martinez, Mario Arevalo and Rafael Lebron will join forces with pianist Max Lifchitz for an intimate celebration of the Art Song as practiced in the Caribbean and Latin America during the last 100 years.

North/South Consonance, Inc. concludes its 39th season on Tuesday evening June 18 when the North/South Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Max Lifchitz performs music by composers hailing from Argentina, Canada, Italy, the US and Venezuela.

Parthenia, New York's premiere viol consort, will be in concert Saturday, April 13 at 8:00 PM, presenting Come Life, Come Death, I Care Not - A Concert with Les Canards Chantants vocal ensemble at Corpus Christi Church, 529 West 121st Street in Manhattan.

North/South Consonance, Inc. celebrates St. Patrick's Day with a free-admission concerts to be held on Sunday afternoon March 17 at 3 PM. The North/South Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Max Lifchitz will perform music by composers hailing from Australia, Ireland and the US. To be heard for the first time in New York City will be music by Ireland's Frank Corcoran; Australia's John David Little, as well as Americans David Froom and Heather Niemi-Savage. Flutist Lisa Hansen and clarinetist Sammy Lesnick will appear as soloists.

Parthenia, New York's premiere viol consort, will be in concert on Sunday, March 10 at 4:00 PM, performing By the Waters of Babylon (Al Naharot Bavel), with ARTEK vocal and instrumental ensemble at The Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th Street in Manhattan. Al Naharot Bavel is a co-presentation of Yeshiva University Museum and Stern College for Women. 

On Sunday evening February 10 pianist Max Lifchitz will perform Franz Liszt's Bagatelle Without Tonality as part of a recital with commentary featuring works by composers from throughout the Americas.

North/South Consonance, Inc. kicks off the New Year with a free-admission concerts on Sunday afternoon January 13 when the North/South Chamber Orchestra will perform four compositions by composers from the US and Venezuela. North/South Consonance, Inc. kicks off its 39th consecutive season of free-admission concerts with two exciting events part of the Latin American Cultural Week Celebration in New York City sponsored by PAMAR (Pan American Musical Art Research, Inc.) On Sunday afternoon November 11, the North/South Chamber Orchestra will perform four compositions by Max Lifchitz - the ensemble's founder and director. A native of Mexico City, Mr. Lifchitz has resided in New York City since 1966 and has toured as composer and performer throughout the Americas, Europe and the US. This event will start at 3 PM and end approximately at 4:30 PM. It will be held at the auditorium of Christ and St. Stephen's Church (120 West 69th Street) in Manhattan.
