The Kennedy Center presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat starring husband-and-wife team Diana DeGarmo as Narrator and Ace Young as Joseph from December 16, 2014 to January 4, 2015 in the Kennedy Center Opera House. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor is the first collaboration of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber (Jesus Christ Superstar, Phantom of the Opera, Cats) and lyricist Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, Disney's The Lion King). The press opening night is Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical that lends itself to a wide range of production styles and interpretations. Having seen it done in a very minimalistic and simple style, the show can be very impactful and effective when done in that vein. At the far, far other end of the spectrum is the Broadway touring production currently in house at Providence Performing Arts Center. Anything but simple or minimalistic, the production turns Joseph into an overloaded, bloated, overwhelming spectacle of light and sound.

The national tour of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler, retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors will play Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall for a limited, one-week engagement February 17-22, 2015.

Bucks County Playhouse gets into full swing with the Tony Award-winning Best Musical AIN'T MISBEHAVIN', running now through September 7, 2014. Last week AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' opened at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The current production is directed by Hunter Foster. Among the Stroman collaborators offering tributes was Theatre World Award winning actor Jason Danieley (Next to Normal, Curtains, The Full Monty, Candide) and New York City Ballet's Tiler Peck performing a selection from Little Dancer, Taylor Mac performing a selection from The Last Two People on Earth, Tony nominee Marin Mazzie performing from Bullets Over Broadway; and Contact collaborator John Weidman, Karen Ziemba performing a selection from Crazy For You, and cast members from The Scottsboro Boys: John Cullum, Brandon Victor Dixon, Shavey Brown, Max Kumangai, James T. Lane, Deandre Leatherbury, J.C. Montgomery, Justin Prescott, Clinton Roane, and David Bazemore. The event co-chairs are Letty Aronson, Roy Furman, and Julian Schlossberg.

The hit run of HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, which opened to a great set of reviews at Paper Mill Playhouse, has already played its final performance in New Jersey, but is Broadway next? Most-likely. The show has been billed as 'Broadway-Bound' since day one, and the rave reviews from New York's critics make it a safe bet that we'll see it on the Great White Way, sooner rather than later. In fact, a recent report by the New York Post's Michael Riedel, he notes that producer Roy Gabay may have a tough time finding a Broadway house to transfer his hit musical HONEYMOON IN VEGAS to once it ends its run at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse. Says a theater owner, 'Nobody saw this one coming. We'd love to have it, but we have nothing available.'
