One of the country's most dynamic and successful after-school programs for the performing arts - ROSIE'S THEATER KIDS, located on West 45th Street in Manhattan - has assembled a summer of study and performance for its student body of youngsters from Title 1 schools in NYC, it has been announced by Lori Klinger, Artistic and Executive Director of ROSIE'S THEATER KIDS (RTKids).

GOOD MORNING, THEATERATI! Welcome to Friday, June 9, 2017 - we're awfully glad to have you here! It's a big weekend in Nashville, maybe the biggest ever, thanks to the perfect storm of events and celebrations all across the region. It's CMA Music Festival weekend, Bonnaroo is pulsating some miles down the road (taking most of the attendees through Music City on their way to Manchester) and the Nashville Predators take on a team from Pittsburgh in the Stanley Cup Final's sixth game on Sunday night at Bridgestone Arena.

The Revival Hyde Park Announces May Programming

Breaking! Isaac Mizrahi Joins Brooklyn Library to Present 'Where the Wild Things Are' Library Card, 3/28

On Tuesday, March 28, Brooklyn Public Library will debut a new, limited-edition library card featuring artwork from the classic picture book Where the Wild Things Are by Brooklynite Maurice Sendak. Students from PS 118, the Maurice Sendak Community School will be the first to receive the new card at a brief press event that will feature a fun, interactive reading with Wild Rumpus dancing and an appearance by Isaac Mizrahi. In addition to being the default issued to children, the Wild Things cards will be available for free to any patrons (regardless of age) who request to trade in their traditional blue cards, while supplies last.

Broadway In Chicago has announced Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Euan Morton will play the role of Hedwig, and Hannah Corneau will play Yitzhak in the National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival. Hedwig and the Angry Inch will play Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) March 7-19, 2017.

Today HarperCollins Children's Books announced the publication of RUNNY BABBIT RETURNS, a never-before-published book of spoonerism poems by the legendary Shel Silverstein and follow-up to the 2005 publication, RUNNY BABBIT. Broadway veteran Dale Soules has returned to New York with her third consecutive Screen Actors Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy for her work on the smash-hit Netflix series ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK. Dale plays no-nonsense inmate Frieda Berlin who boasts neck tattoos and knows a lot about murder. She just wrapped shooting Season 5 of the award-winning series.
