San Francisco's elegant Ritz-Carlton Hotel, its ballroom transformed into a vision of nature saturated with vibrant, electric colors, provided the dramatic setting for California Shakespeare Theater's 18th annual gala, One Great Party, on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Led by Gala Chair Jean Simpson, and Honorary Co-Chairs Ann and Gordon Getty and Helen and John Meyer, the event was the most successful in Cal Shakes history, grossing more than $580,000 and welcoming 400 attendees.

After struggling mightily with fiscal challenges that beset Virginia's second oldest professional theatre since the economic crash of 2008, Wayside Theatre's Board of Directors today announces new plans for going forward. The plans include unprecedented hands-on efforts by the Board of Directors in the areas of marketing and fundraising, as well as a new level of transparency with Wayside Theatre supporters and the community about how those plans progress.

Webb Center for the Performing Arts in Wickenburg, AZ, May 3-4; and the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, June 28-July 28. To commemorate its sesquicentennial, BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) commissioned BAM150, a feature length documentary conceived by award-winning director Michael Sladek that weaves together the institution's vibrant past, present, and future presenting a rich history that mirrors the evolution of performing arts in 20th century America. This landmark film premiered last year at the Tribeca Film Festival and will air on Friday, April 19 at 10pm on THIRTEEN.

The Richard H. Driehaus Museum announces its fourth season of the Samuel M. Nickerson Lecture Series, an annual program which seeks to foster appreciation for historic architecture and design. The lectures feature five notable speakers who explore themes in late 19th and early 20th century decorative arts and architecture.

Featuring brand new choreography, Robin envisions a fresh take on the production.
