The Pearl Theatre Company (Artistic Director, Hal Brooks) will begin its 2015-2016 season with Bedlam Theater Artistic Director Eric Tucker's fresh take on William Shakespeare's classic A Midsummer Night's Dream,following a highly successful engagement of the production at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival this summer. Midsummer kicks off the Pearl's 32nd season, which will continue in the spring with the New York Premiere of Aaron Posner's Stupid Fu**ing Bird in and a World Premiere adaptation by Mark Shanahan of George Feydeau's Le Dindon, entitled The Dingdong.

MAN AND SUPERMAN: One of Shaw's most popular of comedic masterpieces: Jack Tanner is willing to go to almost any lengths to avoid matrimony, even take a trip to Hell and back. Continuing its Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre will present The Hound of the Baskervilles, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, adapted by Steven Canny and John Nicholson. This production will be directed by Mark Shanahan, who made his Hangar Theatre directing debut with last season's production of Other Desert Cities. This family friendly show will run from tonight, July 16, until July 25, 2015. Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, presents its 105th production, Shaw's masterwork, Man and Superman, on Monday, July 20 at 7pm, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2895 Broadway at 95th St.).

Agatha Christie's classic whodunit, 'The Mousetrap,' will be presented as a Script in Hand playreading at Westport Country Playhouse, on Monday, December 15, at 7 p.m. Director is Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $15 each.

The Hangar's Acting Out on the Hangar Stage, Community Charades Challenge took place on Saturday, October 18. With the support of the community - through donations to four teams of participants, the purchase of auction items, and ticket sales - the Hangar was able to reach its fundraising goal for the event, which supports the theatre's educational programming, raising a total of $26,000.
