The 43rd season of MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL will kick off on ESPN with a doubleheader Monday, September 10 -Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens (7 p.m. ET) and San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders (10:15 p.m. / 7:15 p.m. PT) - and will continue with a total of 17 prime-time games.

The NFL today announced the national television schedule for the 2012 preseason, which includes two Sunday Night Football games on NBC. The SNF preseason kicks off on Sunday, August 19 when Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Indianapolis Colts, who own the first pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Many were surprised at the appearance of NY Jets Mark Sanchez at the Tony Awards Sunday night - and even more surprised that he served as a presenter, introducing Memphis' Tony performance. For the quarterback, however, it felt completely natural, as he is a big fan of Broadway productions, gets regular invites backstage to the shows he attends, and even fancies Broadway favorites such as Idina Menzel as buddies.

Tony Statue Grows a Little Taller

The New York Times reports today that the Tony Award statuette has grown up for 2010. Where the statue used to be 3 1/4 inches tall, weighing in at a 1 1/2 pounds, this year's prize is larger by almost double: standing 5 inches high and weighing 3 1/2 pounds.

The 2010 Tony Awards will air live on CBS, on Sunday, June 13th 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay) and are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
