Producers announced today that AMELIE, A NEW MUSICAL will begin performances on Broadway on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street) and officially open Monday, April 3, 2017, following a limited engagement at Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles (December 4, 2016 - January 15, 2017). The company will be led by Tony Award nominee Phillipa Soo and Adam Chanler-Berat, following the Los Angeles engagement.

Four theater artists will be honored by the Henry Hewes Design Awards Committee during the presentation of its 2016 Awards in a luncheon ceremony to be held November 7, 2016.

Casting has been set for Center Theatre Group's production of "Amelie, A New Musical" at the Ahmanson Theatre which begins previews December 4, 2016, opens December 16 and continues through January 15, 2017.

Actors Theatre's current staging of Macbeth is loud, bloody, and glorious. It's far from a definitive take on one of the Bard's finest tragedies, and no doubt some purists will wince at the modern dress and liberties taken with the script-gone is 'double, double, toil and trouble' as well as the entire porter scene- but for this horror movie fan and Halloween junkie, it's hard to imagine a better production.

Producer Aaron Harnick just announced that Tony Award nominee Phillipa Soo (Hamilton) will play the title role in the 2017 Broadway premiere of AMELIE, A NEW MUSICAL at a confirmed Broadway theater to be announced, following a limited engagement at CTG's Ahmanson Theatre from December 4, 2016, through January 15, 2017. Signature Theatre has announced a one week extension for Signature Plays, which revisits the work of three Legacy playwrights with Edward Albee's The Sandbox, Maria Irene Fornes' Drowning, and Adrienne Kennedy's Funnyhouse of a Negro. Directed by Lila Neugebauer (A.R. Gurney's The Wayside Motor Inn), this trio of plays, all produced during their author's original Playwright-in-Residence season and presented together for the first time, celebrates Signature's rich and diverse history over the past quarter century.

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, one of the most popular and best-loved stories in American literature, returns to the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park for the first time in more than 20 years in a thought-provoking and visually exciting new production. Christopher Sergel's adaptation of Harper Lee's coming-of-age story will be introduced to a new generation on the Playhouse's Robert S. Marx Theatre stage from March 5 through April 3, 2016. The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park unleashes girl-powered comedy with THE REVOLUTIONISTS, Lauren Gunderson's irreverent world premiere about four badass femmes of the French Revolution. THE REVOLUTIONISTS debuts in the Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre Feb. 5 through March 6.
