Ken Ludwig, the master of farce, brings us A Comedy of Tenors, the sequel to his 1989 Tony-winning Lend Me a Tenor, which is running through December 23 at Tipping Point Theatre. If you haven't seen Lend Me a Tenor, fear not, as this script and production certainly stands on its own and you can enjoy it just as equally. And, of course, with every great farce-a la Neil Simon's Rumors and Marc Camoletti's Boeing Boeing-- comes a lot of door slamming (an integral part to Monika Essen's posh set) and mistaken identities pulled off with comical finesse by Tipping Point's cast of seven.

MainStage Irving-Las Colinas unveiled three plays, two musicals and a special collaboration that will be produced as part of the 2018-19 season to a packed house of volunteers, subscribers, and supporters on Sunday night, April 15 at the Irving Arts Center.

Bernard has it all - a wonderful old country house, a lovely, devoted wife, a loyal best friend, and a gorgeous mistress. But this enviable life is about to get turned completely upside-down, in Robin Hawdon's adaptation of Marc Camoletti's madcap farce, Don't Dress for Dinner, beginning a 5-week run at Stage West beginning Thursday, July 12.

Raleigh Little Theatre's Don't Dress for Dinner is a comic romp about marriage, infidelity, and alibis gone awry. Bernard (Rob Jenkins) is planning a romantic weekend with his mistress (A.C. Donohue) in his charming converted French farmhouse, while his wife, Jacqueline (Jenny Anglum), is away. He has arranged for a Cordon Bleu cook (Tara Nicole Williams) to prepare dinner and has invited his best friend Robert (Michael Parker), along to provide a cover story. What ensues is a French farce that at times borders on the ridiculous but is sustained by the comic timing of the cast who masterfully work their way through the rhythm of Marc Camoletti's wordy script. Jenkins and Parker channel their inner Laurel and Hardy as the bumbling Bernard and affected Robert, while the over-the-top performances and physical comedy of Donohue, Anglum, and Williams are on point for this type of material. Runs through June 24th at Raleigh Little Theatre.

In Marc Camoletti's 'Don't Dress for Dinner,' an evening devolves into hilarious confusion as two couples' plans for a romantic weekend become entangled. The production opens in Raleigh Little Theatre's Sutton Theatre on June 8 and is directed by Patrick Torres, the Theatre's Artistic Director.

Lantern Theater Company concludes its record-smashing 2017/18 season with the regional premiere of Don't Dress for Dinner by French playwright Marc Camoletti. Lantern Resident Director Kathryn MacMillan will direct a cast that includes some of Philadelphia's finest comedic actors: Chris Anthony, Jessica Bedford, Marc LeVasseur, Lee Minora, Karen Peakes, and William Zielinski. The Actors Studio Drama School 2018 Repertory Season closed its seven-week series of exciting and challenging theater productions with Boeing Boeing by Marc Camoletti, translated by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans. The season features the work of the graduating MFA Acting, Directing, and Playwriting students who collaborate on professionally produced productions presented at 3LD Art & Technology Center.

In the years before computers and cell phones to assist Bernard with scheduling, he uses a datebook and the world globe sitting on his desk to keep track of where each of the three stewardesses he plans to marry will be travelling, and has managed to keep 'one up, one down and one pending.' But Bernard's life is about to get incredibly bumpy when his friend, Robert (pratfall expert Brian O'Sullivan), comes to stay and unexpected schedule changes bring all three women to Paris and Bernard's apartment at the same time. And with Robert meeting all these lovely ladies for the first time on the same day, he soon forgets which lies to tell to whom to keep Bernard out of the doghouse. Hilarity ensues!

Stagecrafters Youth Theatre kicks things off in July with the beloved Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr., a classic fairy tale about a spoiled prince in an enchanted castle who must learn how to truly love in order to break the spell that has turned him into a hideous beast. With award-winning score and a host of enchanted characters, the show is sure to be fun for all ages. This Disney Junior spectacular will be performed by actors ages 8-18.
