Clear Creek Community Theatre to Present Three Comedies this Spring

Clear Creek Community Theatre (CCCT) wraps up its Golden Anniversary Season with three diverse comedies sure to please its audiences. First up, "The Dixie Swim Club" follows the annual reunion of a college swim team over the course of 33 years. At their rented beachside cottage in North Carolina, Sheree, Vernadette, Jerri Neal, Dinah, and Lexie renew their friendship and share both funny and poignant moments in their lives. This comedy-drama by Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten, and Jesse Jones beautifully illustrates the enduring power of "teamwork". The "Dixie Swim Club" runs March 13-29.

This hilarious farce follows 'ladies man' Bernard, who has Italian, German, and American fiancees, each one airline hostesses with different airlines and with different schedules. He manages to juggle all three until unexpected airline schedule changes bring all of them (and Robert, an old school chum) to Paris and to Bernard's apartment at the same time. The outrageous farce, Boeing Boeing, by Marc Camoletti opens tonight, September 17, and Steven Dietz's adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure opens September 18. Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, which opened in June, bridges the gap between summer and fall. All three shows will run in repertory in the Randall L. Jones Theatre until October 18.

10 SUU Students Participate in Inaugural Year of the Festival Fellowship Program

The Utah Shakespeare Festival has created a new internship experience for Southern Utah University undergraduates. The Festival Fellowship Program provided SUU students an opportunity to immerse themselves in professional theatre while gaining credit towards their degree. Participating in the inaugural year are Henry Ballesteros, Madison Ford, Josh Hopkins, Amber James, Trevor Messenger, Kristy Dennett, Errin Gropp, Kristy Koslowski, Ryan Turpin, and Jacob Whitney.

Attendees will enjoy all the Festival has to offer with backstage tours, literary seminars and attendance at Twelfth Night and Sense and Sensibility. The society will also host a special opening social, a Jane Austen Society Luncheon and lecture led by JASNA Utah chapter president, Aspen Anderson. BabyLit Book Signing at Utah Shakespeare Festival Set for Tonight

Join the Utah Shakespeare Festival for a special book signing event with Jennifer Adams, author of the BabyLit series, on Friday, August 1 at 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Randall L. Jones Theatre. Adams will be signing Sense and Sensibility: A BabyLit Opposites Primer and Sherlock Holmes in the Hound of the Baskervilles: A BabyLit Sounds Primer in honor of the productions at the Festival. She will also have her other works on hand including Pride & Prejudice: A BabyLit Counting Primer, Y is for Yorick: A Slightly Irreverent Shakespearean ABC Book for Grown-Ups, and other BabyLit books.
