THE VIRGIN SLAYER to Premiere at The Players Theatre

The Virgin Slayer will open for a multi-week run at The Players Theatre starting on September 9, 2016. The original play, produced by LightSwitch Entertainment (Melissa Edelblum and Gregory Davis) has recently been extended for it's Off-Broadway debut after winning the One-Act Festival at The Manhattan Repertory Theatre in Winter 2016. Written by Gregory Davis and directed by Brenden Gregory, this witty dark comedy follows the life of Coco D'More, a prostitute who specializes in taking virginities. One day, she has a visit from an unexpected client and her life changes forever.
The Farm Theater to Present The Draft Reading Series 8/26 & 8/27 at ART NY

The Farm Theater will present The Draft, a new reading series featuring plays and playwrights whose work has been developed by The Farm Theater, and is now being showcased for future production. The first reading series will take place on August 26 & 27 at ART NY (520 8th Avenue, 3rd Floor) and feature new plays by Maria Paz Alegre, Merridith Allen, and Alex Raid. Admission is FREE, but seating is limited.

Playwright, actress and TEDx speaker Amy Oestreicher's short play, 'The Sky is Blue' is now a semifinalist in Manhattan Repertory Theatre's Short Play Contest. Playwright, actress and TEDx speaker Amy Oestreicher, playwright and actress will have her short play, "The Sky is Blue" performed as part of Manhattan Repertory Theatre's Short Play Contest on August 17th and August 20th at 9pm. The scene is a short excerpt from Oestreicher's original full-length drama, Imprints, which will premiere this January at the Thespis Theatre Festival. Manhattan Repertory Theatre is a forum for playwrights, directors and actors to share and explore their craft. "The Sky is Blue" is a tribute to the true-to-life moment the Oestreicher first told her mother she was sexually abused, juxtaposed with the difficult healing process of her family underwent before she awoke from her coma.
GOLDILOCKS Sets Premiere Performances in New York City

GOLDILOCKS, a new musical by Erin J. Reifler, will receive its New York premiere in the 2016 Thespis Theater Festival at the Hudson Guild Theater. The story takes an unconventional twist on the children's tale, where Goldilocks is a new drag performer. Performances will begin August 2nd at 6:15pm at the Hudson Guild Theater on 441 West 26th Street. Jenn Maley directs the production.
