After an amazing year of creativity, compromises, collaborations, and (so many) silver linings, The Actors Conservatory announces The Oregon One Act Festival: Two Evenings of short plays featuring the graduating class of 2021 and the work of directors Beth Harper, Dámaso Rodríguez, Lava Alapai, Michael Mendelson, and Samson Syharath.

The Human Race Theatre Company has announced Now and Then by Sean Grennan, filmed on location at Dayton's own Mudlick Tap House, kicking off the 35th season.

The Human Race Theatre Company, Dayton's premier professional theatre company, will begin its 34th season with the romantic comedy/drama Now and Then by Sean Grennan.  It will be available exclusively on the streaming platform Broadway On Demand starting April 28, 2021 – the 35th birthday of The Human Race. 

The Marsh announces the line-up for its first-ever digital global festival, MarshStream International Solo Fest, presenting performers aged 16 to 79 from across the nation and around the world, including Russia, Scotland, Israel, Canada, and Australia, as well as some of The Marsh's fan-favorites in a four day online marathon of 51 global works.

I'm not sure how many have read Mary Shelley's classic novel, so familiar is the creature from countless generations of the story that have moved further and further from the source. It seems likely that there might be a good number of people who have never read or seen any of these, and only know the Frankenstein 'monster' as a cartoonish icon. But it is in the theatre that we tend to find iterations that hew closer to the original tale.
