MCC THEATER (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director, John G. Schultz, Executive Director), is proud to announce its third production of the 2004-2005 season: WHAT OF THE NIGHT, an American premiere based on the writings of Djuna Barnes, created for the stage by Jane Alexander, Noreen Tomassi, Birgitta Trommler, directed and choreographed by Ms. Trommler, and starring Ms. Alexander (The Great White Hope; Kramer vs. Kramer; Testament; The Sisters Rosenzweig). The production marks Trommler's New York directorial debut.
Doubt begins March 9 on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre

The Manhattan Theatre Club production of DOUBT, the critically acclaimed new play by John Patrick Shanley, will open on Broadway on Thursday, March 31st at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The production, directed by Doug Hughes, will begin previews on Wednesday, March 9th.

MCC THEATER will present 'ESCAPE: 6 WAYS TO GET AWAY,' a star-studded benefit reading of new, one-act plays written by some of the leading voices in American theater today: Jon Robin Baitz (Ten Unknowns), John Guare (Six Degrees of Separation), Peter Hedges (What's Eating Gilbert Grape), Neil LaBute (Fat Pig), Tim Blake Nelson (The Grey Zone) and Wendy Wasserstein (The Heidi Chronicles).

McReele begins previews in January 2005 at the Laura Pels Theatre (Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre; 111 West 46th Street) and officially opens on Thursday, February 17, 2005. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, April 24th.
