MCC THEATER announced a second, 3-week extension, through Saturday February 26, 2005 of NEIL LaBUTE's FAT PIG, starring in alphabetical order: Ashlie Atkinson (Theresa on F/X's "Rescue Me"); Andrew McCarthy (Broadway: Side Man; feature films: Less Than Zero; Pretty in Pink); Steven Pasquale (Firefighter Sean Garrity on F/X's "Rescue Me") and Keri Russell (Golden Globe winner for WB's "Felicity"). JO BONNEY (Living Out; Fifth of July) directs.

Jessica Capshaw joins the cast as 'Jeannie' beginning January 17, taking over from Keri Russell who plays her final performance on January 15. Capshaw completed a two year run as attorney 'Jamie Stringer' on the Emmy Award-winning David E. Kelly series, "The Practice." Capshaw is a graduate of Brown University. Fat Pig will mark her NY stage debut.

Steven Pasquale recently took over the role of 'Tom' on January 5. His off-Broadway credits include The Spitfire Grill, Spinning Into Butter, The Wild Party and A Man of No Importance. Pasquale has also appeared in the national tours of Miss Saigon and West Side Story. Jeremy Piven of HBO's "Entourage" originated the role of 'Tom' performing through January 4, 2005.

The world premiere of FAT PIG began off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on Tuesday, November 23. Opening night was Wednesday, December 15.

What do you do when you meet the love of your life and she's more than you ever imagined…about seventy-five pounds more? In Neil LaBute's comedy of manners, FAT PIG, Tom (Steven Pasquale) is falling for Helen (Ashlie Atkinson) a bright, sexy woman who happens to be "generously proportioned." She challenges his mind and makes him laugh. Trouble is, his friends are laughing too. Forced to defend his new relationship and bear the brunt of insults from Jeannie (Keri Russell through Jan 15; Jessica Capshaw begins Jan. 17) and Carter (Andrew McCarthy), Tom must come to terms with his own preconceptions of conventional good looks.

In the age of no carbs, nip tucks and extreme makeovers, will Tom destroy his chance for true happiness?
