Naveen Andrews has come on board to star in a film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin's runaway bestseller THE STORIED LIFE OF A.J. FIKRY. Hans Canosa will direct from Zevin's adaptation of her own novel. Canosa, Zevin and Claude Dal Farra, Brice Dal Farra and Brian Keady of BCDF Pictures are producers.

RYAN HANSEN SOLVES CRIMES ON TELEVISION*,  a meta comedy skewering Hollywood and police procedurals, returns for Season 2 on January 30, 2019 on YouTube Premium.  The show stars Hansen, as a ridiculous version of himself, who joins an LAPD task force partnering actors with homicide detectives so they can use their “actor skills” to help solve murders. In Season 2, Ryan's back, but after Detective Mathers, Ryan's partner from the first season (Samira Wiley), gets sidelined, rogue cop Vince Vincente (Avon Barksdale Wood Harris) steps in as Ryan's new partner. Together the two will have to buddy up to solve an array of puzzling crimes.

Deadline reports that Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2, The Walking Dead, HBO's True Detective Season 3), Charlotte McKinney (Flatliners, Baywatchremake), Parisa Fitz-Henley (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones), and Austin Stowell (Catch 22, Battle of the Sexes) will join Fantasy Island. The  adaptation of the ABC series will begin production in Fiji next week.

Today, dick clark productions and ABC announced one of the world's best-selling pop music icons, Christina Aguilera, will perform for a live audience of more than one million people just minutes before the ball drops on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019." Aguilera last performed on the show in 2007, and this year she will be joined by Bastille, Dan + Shay and New Kids On The Block in the hours leading up to the 2019 countdown. This marks multiplatinum artists Dan + Shay's first appearance on the show, and Bastille's second, while pop super group New Kids On The Block will take the New Year's Rockin' Eve stage for the second time-having last performed in 2011 with Backstreet Boys. Lucy Hale joins Michael Pena in the Sony and Blumhouse's upcoming film “Fantasy Island,” according to Variety.

Jackie Cruz, known for Netflix's Orange Is The New Black, joins Lucy Hale on the romantic comedy A Nice Girl Like You. Siblings Chris & Nick Riedell are will direct the film, with a screenplay by Andrea Marcellus, says Deadline.
