Just yesterday, the 2017 Tony nominees and friends gathered for a special evening to celebrate the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre and 2017 Special Award Recipients. BroadwayWorld was on the red carpet for the big night and you can check out photos below!

Internationally renowned performer and current star of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 Josh Groban just received his very own Sardi's portrait. There to celebrate with Groban were Great Comet mastermind Dave Malloy, director Rachel Chavkin, and members of the cast including Tony nominee Lucas Steele. Anatole is so much more than hot. Lucas Steele has been a part of Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 from the very beginning, and in his years in the show, he's developed an incredibly nuanced version of Tolstoy's character. Below, watch as he explains why this is the project of his dreams. 

Three "Great Comet" Broadway cast members - Cathryn Wake, Mary Page Nance, and Lauren Zakrin - created a music video for the original song "Pussy Power", featuring women and all-gendered allies celebrating female empowerment while reclaiming the word "pussy". Check out the video below!

Renowned journalist Katie Couric stopped by Pierre's Russian salon this week when she saw Broadway's NATASHA, PIERRE, AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812. It seems she enjoyed shaking her egg, as she called it one of the most original and energetic shows she had ever seen. Check out her photo with the cast below!

The season's most Tony-nominated show, Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 is gearing up for Tony's night. In order to re-create the immersive vibe of this slice of Tolstoy for Radio City Music Hall, the production is currently seeking performers to fill out their ensemble for Tony's night.

Just last night, Manhattan Theatre Club presented its annual Spring Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street) honoring Matthew C. Blank, Chairman of Showtime Networks Inc. This year's Gala was hosted by Emmy and Tony Award winner Mandy Patinkin and featured performances by many of the most acclaimed musicals on Broadway including Bandstand; A Bronx Tale; Come From Away; Dear Evan Hansen; Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812; Sunset Boulevard; and a sneak peek of Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming production of Prince of Broadway.
