Director/Actor Andréas Voutsinas, best known to audiences for his role as Carmen Ghia in the 1968 Mel Brooks comedy 'The Producers,' has passed away at 79. Voutsinas died in Athens on Tuesday.

Variety is reporting Morgan Freeman will be awarded the Board of Governors Award from the American Society of Cinematographers. The award will be given at the 2010 ASC Awards for Outstanding Cinematography Award Ceremony on February 27th.

The 21st Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) will present Morgan Freeman with the Career Achievement Award for Acting. Lazar was the legendary agent who represented Nixon in extracting a record fee for his interviews with Frost. The Falcon Theatre is thrilled to present Penny Marshall in the comedy, Sheldon & Mrs. Levine, written by Sam Bobrick and Julie Stein, directed by John Bowab. Marshall, famed actress and director, stars as the overbearing mother, with Desmond Harrington as her put-upon son, in the second production in Falcon Theatre's 2007-2008 all-comedy subscription season.
