Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU opened on September 28, 2014, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). The production is directed by six-time Tony Award-nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Scott Ellis (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Twelve Angry Men, 1776). The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (aka 'The Wallis') is proud to present Grammy Award-winning Dan Zanes and ?Friends on Sunday, October 19 at 11am and 2pm. Dan Zanes, whose innovative, modern and multicultural music integrates the unique spirit of American, West Indian and English folk music with the inspiration of early soul and rock-and-roll, is recommended for audiences of all ages.

Magnetic vocalist Storm Large returns to Joe's Pub at The Public to celebrate her new album Le Bonheur, a collection of classic songs with a twist of what The New York Times called the “personality plus.” Large will perform from this one-of-a-kind album, out today on Heinz Records, on October 23 at 10:00pm, and October 24 and 25 at 9:30pm. Electronic artist CLARA VENICE returns to Toronto, after completing her Residency at the National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta, to perform at The Ballet club on Friday, October 24, 2014. Clara will perform songs from her EP Love Riddle, released as a line of wearable USB jewelry, as well as new songs she wrote during her residency.

On October 27 punk rockers Tits of Clay—the off-stage alter ego of the band performing as the Angry Inch in the current Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch—will commemorate the first anniversary of Lou Reed's death with a tribute at Mercury Lounge where they will play Reed's Transformer in its entirety. Singer, actor, author, and playwright Storm Large is a unique talent whose charms and remarkable voice are quickly creating a buzz within the performing arts world. As the singer in the band Pink Martini, a finalist in the reality show Rock Star Supernova, and as a critically acclaimed performer, Storm Large has taken her voice from rock clubs along the west coast to the Carnegie Hall stage, performing with The Detroit Symphony.

Today we are talking to the gifted composer and lyricist behind the earth-shattering score for Broadway's biggest recent hit, HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH, the versatile and passionate Stephen Trask. Shedding considerable light on the development of the idiosyncratic rock musical, Trask discusses his influences and the organic way in which the outre show developed from humble beginnings at downtown bar Squeezebox in the mid-1990s, to Off-Broadway hit at the turn of the new century all the way to the rapturously received feature film adaptation, and, now, the 2014 Broadway production. Trask also details his affection for Tony Award-winning lead actor Neil Patrick Harris and looks ahead to the new leading man donning the titular wig, Andrew Rannells. Additionally, Trask also shares news on the forthcoming sequel to HEDWIG currently being developed with John Cameron Mitchell and teases some of what we can expect from the hotly anticipated theatrical experience. Furthermore, Trask reflects on his own upbringing and musical influences and how that informed the composition of the score for HEDWIG, as well as his own favorite performers. Plus, Trask reflects on his fruitful career as a movie scorer in Hollywood and comments on his upcoming musical endeavors, including two original stage musicals - JUST THE BLACK KEYS, a real-life inspired original musical potentially involving Peter Askin and Michael Mayer, as well 15 MINUTES, a Studio 54-centric period piece written with Rick Elice - as well as much, much more.
