This week's feature is 'Seeing You There' by Adam Gwon. Tony-nominee Josh Young (Jesus Christ Superstar), who happens to be a co-founder of Cutting-Edge Composers, sang this at our first concert at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Ann Hampton Callaway returns to Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola to pay tribute to NEA Jazz Master and GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award winner Sarah Vaughan, the singer to whom Callaway is most often compared. Callaway takes the comparison as a compliment, having already demonstrated her comfort with several daring, assured, and well-received tributes to her influences and contemporaries; from covers of classic ballads that already have decades-old 'definitive' renditions, to the 'Streisand Songbook,' Callaway knows how to add her own voice to a wide range of popular repertoire. Creative Alternatives of New York (CANY), which uses drama therapy to help New York's most vulnerable children and adults, celebrated 30 years of the CANY mission of creativity, community and change to rebuild lives, on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Edison Hotel Ballroom. Last night, April 29, The New York Pops marked its 30th birthday with a grand gala evening honoring the musical talents of songwriters Frank Loesser and Jule Styne, and the centennial of legendary entertainer Danny Kaye. Paula Zahn, host of NYC ARTS on PBS, hosted the evening. See the starry performances below!

Last night, April 8th, producer Marty Richards' feast of friends and loved ones gathered in celebration of his extremely accomplished life at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street) where they were entertained by a star-studded retrospective of show-stopping numbers from Mr. Richards' acclaimed Broadway musicals including Chicago, On The Twentieth Century, The Life, Grand Hotel, Sweeney Todd, La Cage Aux Folles, Sweet Smell Of Success, The Will Rogers Follies and Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life. Renowned musical theatre composer and lyricist Scott Alan just announced via Tumblr that he will be hosting a reading of HOME, written by Christy Hall and himself, on July 1, 2013, directed by Stafford Arima.

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond. This week will feature Broadway's own Liliane Montevecchi, rising star Adam Gwon, Barbara Carroll with Ken Peplowski for the WBGO Jazz Series, award-winning performer Linda Eder, Broadway star Telly Leung and actress, producer and singer Rita Wilson.

Heading up a five-piece band, Gwon will premiere brand-new songs and share fresh and funny tunes from his musicals Ordinary Days, Cloudlands, The Boy Detective Fails, and String.

VOCA PEOPLE's Emily Drennan has just released her Debut Music Video off her double-disc debut album, Two-Way Street. It tells the story of two sides of the heart: the white disc - in love, hopeful and full of belief and the black disc - the heartbroken and raw, yet resilient in dark times. Goodspeed Musicals, the first two-time Tony Award-winning theatre in the country, announced today that the compelling new musical L M N O P -a tale about a town thrown into chaos after that very scenario becomes a reality -will round out their three-show season at The Norma Terris Theatre.

Renowned musical theatre composer/lyricist, Scott Alan and Broadway star, Caissie Levy, perform music from Scott's extensive original songbook and share the inspiration and stories behind them. Scott's thoughtful and moving original compositions have made him a favorite among many well-known artists including Sutton Foster, Jonathan Groff, Stephanie J. Block and Liz Callaway. The evening features songs from his four original albums.

Now in its 15th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook celebrates the best in American singing and songwriting with a new chapter in the Songbook story: 'American Songbook in the Penthouse,' a series of weekend-only performances by performers and composers presented in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse, an intimate yet elegant venue that brings artists closer to the audience in a cabaret-style setting. The second weekend of Kaplan Penthouse performances, the sixth week of American Songbook 2013, runs April 5-6, 2013. April 5th belongs to Cristin Milioti, who was nominated for a Tony Award in 2012 for her lead role in the musical Once.
