Mr. Finn's Cabaret, named after the Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist of Falsettos and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Artistic Producer of BSC's Musical Theatre Lab, continued with Sibling Revelry Starring Liz Callaway and Ann Hampton Callaway. The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) is pleased to announce that 62 finalists selected from tens of thousands of students will compete for the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Best Performance by an Actress, scholarships and other honors at an event on Broadway to be hosted by the Tony Award-nominated stars of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, Laura Osnes (Cinderella) and Santino Fontana (the Prince). The fifth annual performance showcase featuring dynamic ensemble and solo performances exclusively from the musical theater cannon will take place on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W. 45th St).

Renowned musical theatre composer and lyricist Scott Alan hosts a reading of HOME, written by Christy Hall and himself, today June 27, 2013 under the direction of Stafford Arima. 'For the first time in ten years of doing readings and workshops of HOME,' Alan writes, 'I am presenting the story I always set out to tell.'

On Saturday June 22 and Sunday June 23 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) presented Not Entirely Wicked, a salute to the music of Stephen Schwartz with special guests Schwartz and consummate singer Liz Callaway.The show began with plentiful numbers from Pippin and Godspell, but seemed somewhat low on energy and drive, despite several intermittent solos and some visual lighting treats. Thank heavens, Schwartz made an early appearance singing and playing the piano, which included a duet 'Love Song' from Pippin with Callaway. Callaway also essayed a glorious 'West End Avenue' from The Magic Show. Following this section, the chorus segued into a medley of Schwartz's movie hits from Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Beautiful sounds all around! The show was now officially cooking with GAS!

Goodspeed Musicals has announced the cast of LMNOP, an edgy new musical about an island whose citizens begin to lose their freedoms one letter at a time. Tonight, June 19, 2013 at 7:00 PM, two time Tony Award Winning Broadway & Opera Star, Judy Kaye, currently featured as Duchess Estonia Dulworth in Broadway's Nice Work If You Can Get It, sings a solo cabaret act in an intimate Tribeca penthouse with panoramic views of the Hudson River. On the piano will be Dennis Buck, accompanist and collaborator for Jerry Herman, Julie Wilson, Eartha Kitt, K.T. Sullivan, Lucie Arnaz and dozens of other stars.

MARRY HARRY is an official selection of the 2013 New York Musical Theatre and will be presented by the New York Musical Theatre Festival. MARRY HARRY has a book by Jennifer Robbins, music by Dan Martin, lyrics by Michael Biello, music direction by Christopher McGovern, choreography by Wendy Seyb, and is directed by Kent Nicholson.
