Meet the cast of The York Theatre Company's Fall 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series presentation of the first New York revival of Saturday Night, with book by Julius J. Epstein and music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, based on the play, Front Porch in Flatbush by Julius J. Epstein and Philip G. Epstein. Saturday Night marks the 100th production in the series.

The 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals, presented by the National Alliance For Musical Theatre (NAMT), kicked off with THE 46TH MINUTE, a concert hosted by Lindsay Mendez and featuring performances by Heidi Blickenstaff, Doreen Montalvo, Mamie Parris, Bryce Ryness, and more. Musical presentations started October 23 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) and included Beautiful Poison, Cubamor, Great Wall, How To Break, Mary Marie, The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, String and Stu For Silverton. Primary Stages just held their annual Gala last night, November 3, 2014 at 583 Park Avenue. The event celebrated the company's 30th anniversary and honor Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies and award-winning producer, Julian Schlossberg. The Honorary Gala Co-Chairs are Brian d'Arcy James, Laura Linney, Elaine May, and Susan Stroman. The evening featured performances and tributes by Tony nominee Nick Cordero(performing from Bullets over Broadway), Charles Busch, Judy Gold, David Ives, the creators of In Transit, Tony winner Frank Langella, Elaine May, Tony winner Billy Porter, Marlo Thomas, Rachel York, and surprise guests. The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, celebrates the Fall 2014 Musicals in Mufti Series with the 100th production and the first New York revival of Saturday Night, with book by Julius J. Epstein and music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, based on the play, Front Porch in Flatbush by Julius J. Epstein and Philip G. Epstein.

Award winning musical theatre composer Drew Gasparini is flying in from NYC for two concerts following his sold out debut earlier this year.

Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook will continue to expand its scope in celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting, beginning with a free opening night concert in the David Rubenstein Atrium on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Live From Lincoln Center, the Emmy Award-winning program broadcast nationally on PBS stations, will shoot two of the first week's concerts by Broadway stars Norm Lewis and Billy Porter in The Appel Room. These performances will be broadcast nationally in the Spring of 2015.

Allegiance - A New American Musical has been eyeing a Broadway run since it premiered at San Diego's Old Globe last fall. Since then, a New York City reading was held, led by Lea Salonga, George Takei and Telly Leung, all of whom starred in the San Diego production, as well as in a recent backers screening in Austin. Takei just announced that the cast will be taking part in a 'Talks at Google' event which will be broadcast live tomorrow. He writes:

The Northeast Children's Theatre Company, a not-for-profit arts education organization, has announced a star-studded lineup of entertainment for its 2nd Annual Broadway in Connecticut Gala. The fundraiser, set for tonight, October 25 in Fairfield, Connecticut, will feature an evening of music hosted by the Tony Award-nominated songwriting team of Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (DOGFIGHT, A CHRISTMAS STORY). Direct from Broadway, the concert will also feature performances by special guests Lindsay Mendez (WICKED, GODSPELL), Derek Klena (WICKED, BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY), and Meghann Fahy (NEXT TO NORMAL).

The National Alliance For Musical Theatre (NAMT) has announced casting for the additional concerts and events surrounding their 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals. Today, October 22nd the Festival kicks off with The 46th Minute, a concert featuring cut songs and new material from all eight 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals selections, followed by The 2014 Songwriters Showcase on October 23rd and The Songwriters Sessions on October 23rd and 24th, all at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Additional Performers have been added to The Lilly Awards Broadway Cabaret including Adrienne Warren (Bring It On), Sydney Lucas (Fun Home), David Beach, Adam Guettel, Brooks Ashmanskas and original Broadway cast members Keala Settle, Alison Case, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Kathleen Monteleone, Jim Newman and Dale Soules joining Amanda Green singing a song from her show Hands on a Hard Body.

Michael Cassara Casting serves as the resident casting office for the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals, taking place on Thursday, October 23, 2014 and Friday, October 24, 2014 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Online Festival registration ends Friday, October 17.
